My Background

New to Calgary, Dr. Michaud is originally from Saskatchewan. He completed his Doctor of Chiropractic in Toronto at the Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College with an award in Clinical Radiology. He is certified in medical acupuncture through the Macmaster University Contemporary Medical Acupuncture program and is currently completing his residency in orthopedics with the Canadian Chiropractic Orthopedics Specialty (Canada).

Dr. Michaud is knowledgeable, caring, compassionate, dedicated and places his patients’ best interest at the forefront. He effectively diagnoses conditions/ailments affecting all areas of the body from knees and feet to the jaw and neck. With a particular interest in relieving headaches. His calculated approach to each patient’s condition is carefully constructed since we all have different needs and goals for recovery. The initial exam consists of a history, physical exam and a report of findings. Dr. Michaud’s initial assessment provides enough information to properly develop a unique treatment plan comprised of manual therapy, education and rehabilitative exercises for individuals to return to normal activities of daily living.

Dr. Michaud employs a diversified style of treatment and believes that an evidence-based approach to care is the best way to get people back on their feet and back in the game doing the things they love. He believes that it is imperative to collaborate together, along with family doctors and the entire health care team, to create a treatment plan that is realistic/achievable/attainable and produces results in the fastest and safest manner.

In his spare time, Dr. Michaud and his wife Céline enjoy their three young children and getting to know Calgary and discovering all the vibrant family-oriented scenes that this great city has to offer.
